S8 Pro Ultra owner for almost a year and I love mine. I have only hard floors and it mops them well and efficiently. One note the mop is removable. It's truly an autonomous cleaning device.

I bought the S8 MAXV Ultra about 1 year ago, and I loved for the first 9 months or so. Then the water leaked continuously into the solution tank and then it would overflow onto the robot. I tried all the solutions online but nothing worked. So for the last two months I have been emptying the solution tank when I emptied the dirty tank. Unfortunately I waited to long this week and it overflowed and shorted out the robot.

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra - manufacturing or design defect. I purchased a Roborock S8 Pro Ultra on 01.01.2024. Approximately one month ago, the device began experiencing errors when connecting to the charging station (today’s date: 14.12.2025)... A product of this price range failing in less than two years indicates a manufacturing or design defect, not normal wear and tear.

I have a roborock for a year. We quit using it for about 6 months. I started using it again every couple of days and it's aweful. It does not pick up hair and I've checked the container and made sure it's no clogged. I don't recommend this product.

Do not buy Roborock products!! It may work fantastically in the beginning, but both the dealer and roborock itself only give a two-year warranty and after that you are on your own. This is the experience I had.

the naming is not that much of a science, pro/max/maxv is for the robot itself and indicates different features, plus/ultra is for the dock, without or with auto-washing. That's pretty much it

I bought this hair tangling junker the day it could be pre ordered, it still works but with two German shepherds it’s roller tangle is crazy bad, hair gets stuck in every crevice of this thing, and it’s so gd loud when it’s vacuuming.

Don't buy a roborock and you will be fine. My Saros 20 ($1600 robot by the way) ate rock hard cat poop a few times. Pretty typical performance from the flagship of the brand considering it eats cat toys regularly. Obstacle avoidance on roborock's models is a joke. Out of all the brands, roborock is the most likely to eat animal waste and smear it around your house.

All I can say is don’t by a Roomba if you can afford go with a Roborock. I’ve had both mop/vac combo and the Roomba is a headache.

We have a RoboRock and as long as you’re mindful of socks and stuff it can easily suck up - it never gets stuck or has an issue! Love that little robot, it’s doing gods works on these hardwood floors

Can confirm, my Roborock is destroyer and consumer of all cat toys, thank god it has not run into car vomit or poop yet.

I bought this vacuum after seeing this review and everything that was tested here is absolutely on-point: Cleaning performance is excellent, slick app, and the robot is ingeniously easy to clean. However, mapping our 1000 sqft obstacle free hardwood floor unit took almost 2 days of mapping, charging, mapping, charging... After a week the robot self-updated its software, and after that my old map stopped working. I had to do it all over again! A couple weeks later, another software update nuked the map again.
