Owners eight years in are still recording, and a whole-house setup with monitoring earns an insurance discount that makes it hard to beat.
The one shared complaint is a subscription that keeps rising, up by more than forty percent in two years in the UK, and some owners are eyeing cheaper brands over it. Live view can spin for two minutes before connecting when someone rings. The renter mount fell off one door after two days. Batteries are rated for 500 to 1,000 charges, then need replacing.

The Ring subscriptions have gone up by 42% here in the UK, 2 years ago, they were £24.99, last year £34.99, this year coming £49.99 - no way am I paying that increase!

I've got Arlo Cameras and Ring Doorbells. The Arlo cameras work well and I like their interface. I just replaced one of my Ring's with with the Arlo doorbell because after 2 years, Ring decided to not work on my wifi network anymore (including a brand new unit). For me live view and live conversation on both don't work well. For Ring, someone rings the doorbell, I hit it, and it spins for 2 minutes before connecting (even if I'm in the house on the same network).

I have the ring doorbell and don't like that I miss motion alert at times and that's after I enhance my settings. My son has blink with the sync module... He loves it and I didn't see a huge difference in the camera quality from my Ring. I'm thinking about switching to Blink due to the fact Ring just increased their annual subscription to $50 just to save videos etc.

I just upgraded my cameras that where 7 years old and over all those years the panels worked perfectly. It was great not having to pull batteries over all those years.

My rings are 8 years old (spotlight cam and doorbell and i get recordings from both. The cam is triggered first and that triggers the doorbell to record long before someone is near the door.

Every time you recharge a battery it dies a little bit - which is why rechargeable batteries have a recharge lifetime rather than a duration. Ring quotes 500-1000 recharges or 3-5years depending on usage and settings. You need new batteries

New ones fish eye lens for visibility lower to ground to show packages. I like the older Ring 2 view better.

Ring 2 doorbell...Hard wire kit so I don't have to worry about changing batteries. Works very well but does require a subscription.

I have the ring doorbell 2k and I live in an apartment so drilling into the door is frowned upon... I bought the product that ring made specifically for renters which is just an attachment that connects to the back plate of the ring door bell and I followed all the directions and after 2 days it fell off too. I don't know if these products just suck or if my door is just too smooth
