Why it ranks here. Dreo is the heater r/BuyItForLife has warmed to fastest, and the one Project Farm singled out in its latest shootout. Quiet, a thermostat that holds a number instead of blasting on and off, and a company that replaces faulty units without a fight. It ranks first on that, with an oscillation motor that gives up on some units.
A family of five fights over theirs: 'ever winter I try to make sure that I commandeer the Dreo from our collection of space heaters before anyone else can'↗. With a broken HVAC and 20°F outside, one owner lets it 'run at 72 all night'↗; another's bedroom went 'from 70° to 76° overnight'↗ with 'White noise in the background'↗. In Britain a Solaris Slim means 'I don't need central heating on anymore'↗. Support gets praise nobody asked for: a unit that 'stopped oscillating after about 6 months'↗ of twelve-hour days was 'cheerfully replaced'↗ after the return window. That oscillation motor is the known weak spot. And one shopper wants a heater that is 'not going to overheat like the Dreo ones'↗, a complaint a few others share.
What owners like
What owners complain about
- The oscillation motor: one 'stopped oscillating after about 6 months'↗ of heavy use
- A few reports of overheating and tripped breakers, and a shopper avoiding it for that reason
“As someone with a busted HVAC system. I'm using the same DREO heater on this video and another bigger DREO. I must say when it comes to heating, they are great. At around 20 degrees F (-5 c) it does keep the room at incredible temperature. You let it run at 72 all night and can get really warm.” — YouTube comment · Meltman1000 · 2023-12-17

Had the Dreo about 1.5 years and I like how quiet it is. The original stopped oscillating after about 6 months but I did use it about 12 hours a day. They cheerfully replaced it after the Amazon return period. Considering getting their oil radiator for another colder room.

Dreo is a good horse to bet on, I have several of their fans and they even replaced one when I described a problem with a motor. They paid for it to be mailed back to them to send to their R&D dept to triage and fix the next model. Really great customer service!

I've owned a small "trash can" sized Dreo for a few years now and it is the best space heater I've ever owned. Since I live in a 5-person family, ever winter I try to make sure that I commandeer the Dreo from our collection of space heaters before anyone else can because it works so well. My favorite feature (other than it's quietness) is the granular temp control, as having it run on high for more than a little while can make a small room into a sauna.

Just to let you know, I bought a Dreo space heater on this channel's recommendation. Again... Tried it out last night and it raised the temperature in my master bedroom from 70° to 76° overnight. It worked flawlessly and was quiet too. White noise in the background of sleeping. I never buy anything without searching your videos first.

I bought my dreo Solaris slim H3 (very similar to your dreo tower) last year absolutely ❤ it for being energy efficient, warm and safe. Cost me £60 on Amazon keeps my front room warm when needed or just lower ambient room temperature a couple of °C to take the chill out of the room. I don't need central heating on anymore and saves me a lot of overall energy costs.

I have the DREO small and it is FANTASTIC, and very durable, I've dropped it several times and the housing is so solid, not a dent or scratch. Love that it rotates and has a timer, and the one I have has a ALCI Safety Plug.

I have a Dreo bathroom heater, and it works well. The bathroom heater is the next model up from the one Todd tested, with an arc fault interrupter for extra safety. It throws heat much better than my old space heater, and oscillates... One nice feature is that the fan runs for 30 seconds after turning off the power, to make sure the heater is cool enough to store.

I bought Dreo Space Heater last year. It's small so it doesn't take up much space which is great, and it makes a good amount of heat + it isn't loud. This heater warms up my room in around twenty minutes or less. Absolutely worth the money!

Go for one on Amazon called Dreo, I think its the best I've ever old. Its just has so much option and I like the round shape

Grab the Dreo Atom One or the Vornado VH200, both are solid for small rooms. Quiet, fast heating, and don't trip breakers like cheap ones do.

Looking for a good ceramic space heater, the less plastic the better. I need a good one that's not going to overheat like the Dreo ones.

After doing my research awhile back it was easy to see the best space heater I'm glad project Farm backed up my decision I currently have 1 Dreo Tower and 3 Dreo smalls and their oil-filled radiator.
