Man, yeah. I was nervous when I saw this. My Frigidaire FFAP7033T1 has been running like a champ in my basement for years. I have a second pumpless version that's been just as solid.

Both of mine have been fine except the pump died on one after a couple years. I just bought a cheap condensate pump and it’s been working fine since.

My Frigidaire one has been running strong for 10 years. It recently started showing F0 code on the display and requires me to unplug it and plug it back in to start working again. I'm planning to get the Hisense 35 pint from Costco once the current one fully dies.

Frigidaire 50-pint units have been solid in my experience. Not “forever” appliances, but definitely more reliable than the no-name brands. Also worth considering ones with continuous drain if you don’t want to empty the tank every day, that alone makes a huge difference in daily use.

yeah that's the real dividing line, once you set up a drain you never go back to emptying buckets like a sucker. i've had a frigidaire 50 pint running for like 4 years now in a damp basement, basically zero issues, just gotta clean the filter every few weeks. the midea cubes seem popular too but i've heard the pump can be a weak point long term

I have 2 Frigidaires that I have used for at least 10 years and they are great. I had a tenant leave a very old one and it is still working fine as well.

The only Dehumidifier I've got more than 3 years out of was the Frigidaire I bought in 2002 when I got my first house. It cost under $200 and ran practically nonstop for 11 years straight before giving up the ghost.

My FFAD5033W1 only lasted 2 years of summer use. It stopped removing air moisture and displayed the EC fault code. I took it apart and ran it with the cover off. The compressor works and the input line to the cooling (evaporator) coil was icing up but the cooling coil didn't get cold enough to dehumidify. This is definitely due to low refrigerant (it leaked out) or some other refrigerant line problem. Many reviewers complain of these early failures... This is an extremely risky purchase but if you get one that lasts, it is a great machine.

My last three Frigidaire dehumidifiers lasted only two years each on average. The manufacturer did replace the second one free of charge when it displayed the dreaded F0 code but during year two the replacement unit now has the same F0 code.

I had two models of the Frigidaire dehumidifier and both have failed within 14 months and forget about the extended warranty it isn't honored.
