Why it ranks here. The monitor that made QD-OLED something people wanted, with the deepest pool of long-term owner reports of any gaming monitor. Owners three years in still call it some of the best money they have spent: inky blacks, infinite contrast, zero backlight bleed, and 175Hz motion that makes the best fast IPS panels look slow. Dell's three-year warranty covers burn-in, which is why many felt safe buying it, and owners who used it twice call the process flawless.
Burn-in is real with static content: one owner at full brightness has extensive burning of Windows elements, and several have had units replaced. Dell support is hit and miss, telling one owner a high-pitched noise is by design and refusing another a replacement for a monitor they bricked. Some units whine, and one had a constant fan and heat error.

I genuinely feel bad for anyone that starts to experience burn in just because I love the picture quality of OLED so much. I've had the Alienware AW3423DW for a little over 2 years. I use it 40 hours a week for work as a software developer and maybe another 15 or so hours a week playing games on it. I don't pay attention to having static things on the screen at all (taskbar isn't hidden or anything) and my brightness is always set at or around 45%.

For what it’s worth, I’m an AW3423DW owner and mine has been replaced twice under warranty for burn-in. The process has been flawless twice.

I've had this since launch basically, extensive burning of Windows elements. Used a lot for work from home and gaming/videos. Mix of SDR and HDR. Almost always at 100% brightness in SDR. No OLED mitigation's outside of screen off after 10 minutes. In actual use its rare to notice this but does show itself on occasion. Knowing all this I will still by another OLED, I just prefer it so much more compared to LCD.

I have this monitor and it is shockingly good. Like Linus said..."strobe like clarity". Maxes out at 175hz but feels like it's running at 500hz+ on an IPS. I have the latest 1440p 240hz ELMB Fast IPS gaming monitors and this thing destroys them. I can't believe the price it sells for. It's an absolute steal. Easily should be priced at 2-3x higher for what you get compared to the best gaming IPS panels. Inky jet blacks, infinite contrast ratio, zero black light bleed, zero IPS glow, zero matte screen Vaseline smear effect. The leap from the best IPS to this monitor feels truly evolutionary.

I was always worried about OLED for gaming but after seeing a 3 year warranty that even covers burn in, makes me a bit less worried about it now.

Honestly, I was expecting a price of something more like $2,000 USD. The fact it's only just a few hundred dollars more than an equivalent IPS monitor is actually the most impressive part of this product

I got this monitor based on your rec, and feel the same way as your follow up video. Although, my screen burn-in issues required me to RMA this guy twice already. Yet, I am still more thank pleased with it's performance.

My brother and sister both had this monitor when it was released. My brother had replaced 2 of them from burn in issues and got sick of it and now has the newer model 27" oled from alienware. My sister also had replaced hers dud to fan/heat error message on all time.

The AW3423DW QD-OLED in 1440P is the sweet spot for me, I love being able to max out visuals with my 5080. I have the older non-QD-OLED version of this I purchase 7 years ago, and I still love it. Zero issue with 12+ hours of daily use.

I bought my monitor from my friend for cheap and they said it works fine but it has marks. I have it but I do not want to attempt cleaning whatever this is until I getting some feedback on what it is like maybe scratches or dirt and how to clean it.
