It is loud, and that is the one dealbreaker for the 20-year barber. One unit switched itself on while charging on a table and would not switch off, another's charging pins broke off into the cable, guards pop off, and counterfeits circulate on resale sites, so buy from a real dealer. One shop switched to TPOB, whose clippers have held up far better.

The jrl is a much quieter, smoother machine but I prefer my magics honestly because they rattle more and are louder, I like that feedback and feel i get from it. The jrl is great though but it feels more like a tech gadet than a machine, like cutting hair with an iphone. Still, jrl is an awesome machine and their weight is similar to the magics and offers a much smoother ride

My TPOB plays have held up waaaaaay better than my JRL Onyx & Babyliss FXones. Our whole shop has converted.

My Wahl Magic Clip Cordless suddenly turned on by itself while it was just sitting on a table charging. No one touched it. When I try to use the power switch, it doesn't turn off at all. It just keeps running until the battery dies.

Whatsup everybody! I just wanted to pipe in about these clippers that the pins in my clipper busted off together into the cable. I got a repairshop to fix it. Take it easy plugging and unplugging.

The Wahl Magic Clip is described as a very well-made cordless hair clipper, one of the best out there, exceptional for doing fading, and lightweight, charges quickly, and is fairly quiet and fits nicely in the hand.
