Look for the OXO Good Grips scale! The display panel actually pulls out completely away from the base so big bowls never block your view. It's a complete game-changer for baking.

How about the Oxo 11 pound scale? The display portion is detachable (corded) so you can put a large bowl on the scale and pull the display out to read it.

I really like my Oxo with the pull-out screen! My mom has the Escali and it just feels flimsier to me (though it has lasted her years).

I use the Oxo 11 lbs kitchen scale. I change the batteries every couple of years. It was America's Test Kitchen top rated scale.

I bought the OXO pullout. I gave away my salter digital that I had for years in a move where I had to store items. The OXO is ok but I don’t like it does not do gram decimal weighing only oz and I weigh in grams mostly.

Completely agree that the Oxo is the best. Have had one for over two years and hasn't failed me yet. Easy to read, clean, and use.

I contacted OXO and they shipped me a new one which I received in 2 days. All they wanted from me was the model# and SN. The replacement has been in service for over a decade now and periodically I verify it's accuracy with a set of standards... the backlight tends to extinguish after about 45 secs being idle.

I've owned 2 of the OXO scales. They're great when they work, but shortly after the warranty ran out both of them would completely drain the batteries after just a couple of days... I thought the first one was a fluke, so I bought another one. My bad, never again.

We bought the Taylor and HATED IT. Glad to see we weren’t alone. Looks like it’s OXO for us but the myweigh is tempting even though it’s quite large.
