Why it ranks here. The toaster oven people talk about most, and the one that quietly replaces the big oven. Owners use it daily for five to ten years and reach for the full-size oven a few times a year; one would own a replacement before the next meal if it broke, and one whose first unit lasted five years paid full price again because the oven is that good. It preheats fast, does not heat the house in summer, and replaces the microwave for reheating.
Its one real weakness is the thing in its name: slow, mediocre toast, the single most repeated complaint. It runs very hot on top and the newest model vents steam from the front where the door meets the display, which Breville calls normal. Air-fry mode smokes, gets the oven very dirty, and sits a step behind a dedicated air fryer. A former electrician warns the 1800-watt draw is pushing it on an old 15-amp circuit, and one convection fan gave out at eight years.

I was an electrician for many years and 1800 watts is pushing it for anyone with 15amp circuits in older homes... I enjoyed your video and I just ordered my new power hungry everything oven today!

Mine has worked flawlessly for almost two years... The air fry function works well but does smoke and get the oven very dirty and splattered... If I was an everyday toast eater, I would get a separate toaster for sure due to the long time it takes to toast

I've had this for 4 yrs and use in place of my oven... The only feature I don't like on this oven Is the toaster. It takes much more time than a regular toaster to toast bread.

My first one lasted almost exactly 5 years before it started dying. That was with using it multiple times a day, every single day. I happily(sort of) spent the $500 again, the oven is THAT good.

Just buy it!!!!!! We purchased the smaller oven about 10 years ago... These Brevelles are built to WORK!!!!!!!! Will not heat up the house.

Love my Pro. The bigger size is best of you cook all your own meals. I find it bakes hotter than my electric oven, so I use a thermometer to for temp. Toasting is meh, but everything else is great. highly recommend

We have the pro one, and like it a lot. It can do air frying, but not as well as a real air fryer. There is a heating element on the bottom, so anything that drips makes a mess... It also makes lousy toast. It is very good as a little 2nd oven, though. It can hold a 9x13 pyrex, so its a Thanksgiving hero.

The Pro is a decent air fryer but decidedly not as good as my Instant Vortex Pro; I've compared doing Serious Eats Roast Potatoes recipe in it, and the Vortex makes them darker and crispier in a third less time.

I have had a brevile toaster oven for over 10 years now and it sees daily use. It's by and far one of the best purchases I have made. And uses way less electricity than a full size oven.

I had an older breville smart oven I got in 2015 or so that the convection fan just gave out on a few months back and replaced it with the air fryer pro model.

I agree I wouldn't have both but the Breville can get messy really quick in air fry mode and it's a pain to clean properly. So for someone who likes to air fry a lot, having a dedicated air fryer makes sense.

I've owned a Smart Oven since 2011 and a Smart Microwave since 2013. They both continue to work very well without problems. We have a really good full size gas oven, but we use the Smart Oven with almost every meal to roast veggies or broil bread.

Not sponsored, lol, but this is one of the best purchases I've made in my life... I bought it a year and a half ago and I use it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. It toasts, it air fry's, it bakes, broils, dehydrates... And it pre heats so fast, and it doesn't heat up the whole house in the summer.

I picked up a Breville Smart Oven Pro 860 and it may break my family apart. I like it, but everyone else is complaining that the food is dry.

Just upgraded from the Breville 845 to the Breville 900 smart oven. I notice steam pours out the front where the door and LCD meet... Breville tells me this is normal, but I call BS (845 does not do this).
