I purchased my Dyson V8 for $346.50 + tax in 2019. It’s been our primary vacuum since. I think they’re a bit more now, but the way I look at it you can buy a Dyson for $400-500 once every 10 years, or you can buy a Shark for$250 every 3. You do the math.

I had a Dyson v11 and I would NEVER buy it again. It was complete crap and lasted just over a year before it stopped running consistently, and that's after I had to make a new wheel mount for the beater bar because the wheels are held on with like 1mm of plastic.

I’ve bought 2 Dyson vacuums. A v6 that we bought years ago still works great. I use it on our cars now since we bought a v8 which now does house work. Only maintenance needed on the v6 is a replacement battery that was $25 on Amazon. Definitely worth the money and these vacuums last a long time.

Thanks for the vid. I got one two weeks ago. I agree with all you said. Battery life is a farce. I'm in Aussie land and mine cost $1500 and batteries are $200. But it's the most amazing vacuum I've ever used. I'm currently trying to find a way to store all the attachments. I really think some method should have been included for the cost.

We purchased a Dyson a few years ago, which worked very well. After a few years use, it developed a couple of issues. When I contacted Dyson, they serviced it at minimal cost - basically replacing many worn parts with new ones ie rebuilding it, and shipped it back to us, with the option of getting a substantial discount off a new one. It's still going strong! In this day and age of throw-away disposable consumer goods, for a company to do this with their products is awesome! Make a good product, and stand by it.

As a Dyson owner, i would never never think to brag about that on the internet. Their quality is atrocious. Literally the cheapest chinesium you can get your hands on. These people deserve the ridicule. My only redeeming quality is i didnt pay retail for it. Fuck their marketing department. Pay the children those six figure salaries.

We have a Dyson V12 Detect Slim, and we love it... IMO, it's not a replacement for a standard vac. More of a supplement. It's really great for daily stuff though. We vacuum about once a month, and fill in the gaps with the stick. Love it.

As someone who owns a Dyson Animal, and also who's bought three cheaper Amazon ones for my business, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the cheaper ones are significantly worse. I usually like to believe marketing is hype and you pay for it in the brand... but there's something about that vacuum.

Dyson's purple anti-hair roller is literal magic for any length or type of hair. We stress tested it on a basketball sized hairball we brushed off a cat and no hair stuck to the roller. Other brands might have the same tech but I have only used this one
