Why it ranks here. The bar everyone names first: no screws, up and down in seconds, and owners still using one from 2009. It holds heavy people: a 210-pound owner of a ten-year-old bar does weighted chin-ups at about 300 pounds total with no hint of trouble, a 240-pound owner has no issues, and one Briton started at 271 pounds and used it for 18 months.
It needs a solid frame 12 to 16 centimetres deep, and a sceptic warns most cheap door frames will not hold. The safety clip must be used: the Briton's bar slipped off the frame and hit him on the nose when he skipped it. One owner's frame took damage until he padded the ends. Third-party sellers ship boxes with no manual, screws or safety clip, and one eBay buyer is convinced his was a fake.

If you ask me this is incredable! The iron gym pull up bar helps you to do a lot of exercices for example you can do pull ups, sit ups, push ups, dips amd other things that's so great you can transform your body in like 3 months with this it's cheap and you put it in your door. I got one 2 days ago and I like it so much.

Good vid, good humor, good product. I just watched a dead hang video, someone in the comment section warned against door frame pull-up bars, said his friend cracked his kneecap in half after it broke the trim, but he didn't say what the brand was. As far as I can tell, the trim only takes a small amount of the weight bearing with the Iron Gym bar, it looks like most of the weight bearing is on the wall.

Iron Gym pull up bar just came in -- It has too much slack (?) See pics -- The handles are not straight, they're tilted downward ... Is the unit defective? Or did I assemble it incorrectly? The support that's above the door frame isn't perfectly aligned and parallel either.

I'm getting more and more convinced this is not the real Iron Gym product but a BS knockoff from China (given that the seller is from ebay too) because even the damn assembly instructions are blatantly wrong.. see pic below. ... Super pissed now.

240lbs here and no issues with the bar. Issues with only being able to do 4 max, however, but that's another story.

I'm pretty sure my bar is that same Iron Gym model, though it is older (I got it from a friend, I think it must be 10+ years old). I weigh around 210 and I've had no problems, I regularly do weighted chins on it too. I've done a lot of sets in the 45-65 lb range over the last 6+ months with no problems, and I've gone as heavy as 90lbs (so about 300 lbs total weight) with no hint of an issue.

I have one lol, it been going for 1 year now and still functional. But u need to put some more stuff on the ends so it does not dmg ur frame which mine did.

Most normal cheapy door frames will not hold. Those commercials are deceiving you need a metal framed one usually
