Why it ranks here. The default answer on r/kettlebell and the reference every other bell is measured against: made in America, cast in one piece with no weld seam, a rounded body that sits kindly in the rack instead of digging into the forearm, and bells going strong after seven to ten years. They arrive undamaged.
The new e-coat line has quality problems: rough edges, inconsistent coating and an odd mould shape, and buyers went back to powder coat. One new powder-coat bell flaked at the handle after ten uses while the same owner's ten-year-old bell is fine. Long-time collectors of five brands say they cannot tell plain powder-coat bells apart.

I love the US rogue kettlebells. Still have not tried out e-coat but I really like the handle on these.

One of the Rogue kettlebells I just purchased already has powdercoat flaking off the handle in multiple locations. I've used it maybe 10 times. I have the same bell purchased over 10 years ago that is still in great shape and zero issues with the powdercoat finish. I don't care if they look pretty, but I do want the powdercoating to stay put on the handle. Waiting to see what Rogue is going to do about the defective cousin.

I have powder coated rogues. They’ve lasted 7 years so far. They live in the garage and get used regularly. Scratches here and there but it’s to be expected.

The vinyl coated ones get a lot of criticism on here, though I've never used one personally. The Rogue ones are nice since they have rounded sides which makes them more comfortable in the rack position. Kettlebells with flattened sides have a corner that can dig into your forearm

The quality of the Rogue e-coat kettlebell is really bad -- rough edges, inconsistent coating, wierd large mold shape --- like they forgot how to manufacture kettlebells and are beginners at it. I ordered the Rogue regular kettlebells instead, even though I prefer e-coat.

I've bought several over the past year. Very satisfied customer. Made in USA, fit my hand, durable coating and ductile iron, and the shipping packaging insured they arrive undamaged. I was buying kettlebells from another American forge but they always arrived damaged due to poor packaging.

I'm really glad Rogue came out with these. The RKC kettlebells from Dragon Door have had E-coat for a while, and I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on them but damn, they're SO EXPENSIVE! Glad I held off, I just ordered a 44 and 53lb from Rogue, at literally half the price! And made in the USA!
