• One of the Rogue kettlebells I just purchased already has powdercoat flaking off the handle in multiple locations. I've used it maybe 10 times. I have the same bell purchased over 10 years ago that is still in great shape and zero issues with the powdercoat finish. I don't care if they look pretty, but I do want the powdercoating to stay put on the handle. Waiting to see what Rogue is going to do about the defective cousin.

• The vinyl coated ones get a lot of criticism on here, though I've never used one personally. The Rogue ones are nice since they have rounded sides which makes them more comfortable in the rack position. Kettlebells with flattened sides have a corner that can dig into your forearm

• The quality of the Rogue e-coat kettlebell is really bad -- rough edges, inconsistent coating, wierd large mold shape --- like they forgot how to manufacture kettlebells and are beginners at it. I ordered the Rogue regular kettlebells instead, even though I prefer e-coat.

• I've bought several over the past year. Very satisfied customer. Made in USA, fit my hand, durable coating and ductile iron, and the shipping packaging insured they arrive undamaged. I was buying kettlebells from another American forge but they always arrived damaged due to poor packaging.

• I'm really glad Rogue came out with these. The RKC kettlebells from Dragon Door have had E-coat for a while, and I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on them but damn, they're SO EXPENSIVE! It ranks below the Rogue because it is plastic, it rattles, it tops out at 40 pounds, and its lock can seize.

• I have one or two that are 5 years old. They have chipped in places, revealing rust-collecting spots (light). However. Handles are fine and I happily still use them. I have no issue when tools show wear as long as they function. This is a tool. That said, I do prefer “lifeline,” another Amazon bell provider who’s a few dollars more. I also have one from “rep” that also passes the test.

• I’m another multi bell collector. I have accumulated a few from Rogue, Yes4All, Rep, KBK, and some off brand thing that looks like its hot dipped galvanized. Rogue and Rep are virtually identical to me. I usually find mine on marketplace these days, but if I picked up a new one, I would probably go with the best price of Rep, Rogue or Amazon.

It ranks fourth because of a documented flaw: the internal plates do not always release at the selected weight, several owners confirmed it on their own units, and the jangle inside makes some nervous enough to switch brands.

• I really like thr REP adjustable bell. Its fast to change the weight it had a good shape and is very duable. I have logged some serious time on it using outdoors and have never had an issue. Its limitations is how heavy it goes up to but is a solid adjustable kettlebell if anyone was considering one.

• When I saw the first clip you showed with the weights falling out, I immediately thought they were falling out when you had them locked in.......But that is not the case. So basically when you disengage the plates they dont always release or come out... Now, would I prefer that all the weights that should come out, do come out?.....Yes. But I would just have to make sure that when I set it on 22 that the correct amount are out and so on.

• I had the same problem with the same item (16-24 kg) in Switzerland. The firt deleivered Kett. did't work but the second did till today (5 years). As I thought Kett. with plastic parts wouldn't last for ever I sold this Kett. and purchased for 35-40€ more a Quick Lock Kettlebell from Ironmaster, which is only cast iron with a screw and security 100%

I was set to buy the version you tested, but I think I will go with Titan Fitness. Yes it will chip and it may be cumbersome to swap weights, but I think it's a reliably safer compared to REP.
