My high quality mat recommendation are manduka and lifeform. I like manduka pro for more dynamic practices with more jumping forward and back+ general exercise because it is so durable. The manduka lite is good also but is noticeable less sturdy and narrower. Beware of the break in period, but really so worth it. Salt, dish soap, and sun broke mine in.

The Manduka eKO line is not covered under the same warranty as the Manduka Pro mats. The eKO is 100% natural rubber and starts to break down over time faster than the Manduka Pro line.

Heat and sweat will be tough on a manduka especially early on during the break in time

Manduka prolite ⬆️. I have used mine for the past 6 years and it does get better each time it’s used. I have also traveled a lot with it despite it’s size- I fold it up stuff it in my suitcase and when I get where I am going- I just roll it and it springs right back into form. I’ve had it in jungles, deserts and beaches. It never holds odor, sand sweat etc.

Never heard of it. I will say, I have used Lulemon and Manduka along with others (have not used liforme). Without a question, Manduka was right for me by a wide margin. I got the ProLite Manduka and I will never use anything else. I use it once or twice a day and it gets better everyday.

Break in your Manduka! I resisted using it at first because it seemed slippery but the more I used it the better it got. If you don’t have lotions and potions on your hands it works great. If you’re very sweaty then get a rosin bag or yoga towel because no mat combats sweaty wet hands. I’ve been using it multiple times daily for 8 months now and it looks brand new. Those cheaper mats start to shred and makes a mess. It’s why I switched to my Manduka Pro.

Manduka pro! I didn't have any break in time on mine but I use a towel for hot classes, it's grippy enough for me by itself in warm or room temp.

I hated my manduka grp mat. Fell apart in 1 year and the mat was like $120

i’m a long time teacher and manduka ekos used to be my ride or die. bought one maybe 3 years ago and it lasted all of 3 months before pieces started falling out of the top. thought maybe it was a fluke, so bought another one. same issue. manduka is no longer the brand it used to be. i’ve switched to jade and i’ve no regrets.

Hot take but I’ve had a Manduka Pro for 2 years to replace a 10 year-old crumbling Lululemon Mat….and REGRET IT/still can’t use it for my yoga practice. Maybe it was defective to begin with? Maybe my feet are just unnaturally sweaty??? But trying all the hacks multiple times over multiple weeks couldn’t break down the slip enough for me.

I have the manduka pro in “sand,” or something like that, which is almost white. It shows dirt very easily. In hindsight I wish I’d gotten a darker one. It does look nice though, and gets compliments for being a little different.
