Why it ranks here. Crossrope has the biggest YouTube footprint of any rope brand, with hundreds of buyer comments under Jump Rope Dudes videos about results, apartment jumping and, above all, price. It is the only system in this ranking: one pair of handles, clip-in cables from a quarter pound up, and a workout app.
Fans report results and quality: a 65-year-old jumping three times a week calls the build 'impressive'↗, a first-time buyer says the 3 lb rope is 'about as taxing as any cardio workout I have ever done'↗, and customer service sent one UK owner new handles by express courier without asking for proof of purchase. The complaint is price. The Get Lean set starts at $88, up from about $60, and one avid jumper found it 'just not nearly $90 better'↗ than a plain rope. Sizing runs long: a 6'3" buyer got a rope 'waaaaaaaay too long'↗. The ropeless version divides people: 'a pair of nunchucks'↗ to one, 'a godsend'↗ for a small flat with downstairs neighbours to another.
What owners like
- Clip-in weighted cables from a quarter pound up turn one handle set into a progression; the 3 lb rope is 'about as taxing as any cardio workout I have ever done'↗
- Customer service sent one owner new handles by express courier, 'not even a proof of purchase or anything'↗
- The ropeless version is 'a godsend'↗ for low ceilings and downstairs neighbours
What owners complain about
- Price. The Get Lean set starts at $88, and one avid jumper decided it is 'just not nearly $90 better'↗ than a plain rope
- Sizing runs long: a 6'3" buyer's recommended size was 'waaaaaaaay too long'↗
- Ropeless mode is 'a pair of nunchucks'↗ to some, and no substitute for real rope skills
“Love my cross ropes. Had results beyond expectations. Had a triple bypass recently and think trying to go back to cross ropes may be a little too optimistic but I thought these would be a good way to get back the feeling of jumping. You are right. The jump rope experience isn’t the same but it does succeed in giving some results and whetting the appetite.”

Bought the 1/4 pound and 1/2 pound. Big difference from speed rope to the 1/4. More than I thought. Now majority of my 1000-1500 skips is the 1/4. Pretty much jump as fast now as with speed rope. Quality is impressive no doubt about that. Crossing over 100,000 in a few weeks. Age 65. Jump 3 times a week minimum.

I have both lean and strong sets. With that said, the 1st reason should be, it's too expensive. Don't get me wrong, I like them very much and have been benefiting from them. But c'mon..... It's too pricey. Let's keep it real.

I was a little skeptical at first but given the CV19 no gym situation, wanted to add something to my workout. Ordered the set and finished my first workout. WORTH EVERY PENNY! The 3 lb. Rope workout is about as taxing as any cardio workout I have ever done. Could only get through 36 reps at a time. My forearm and biceps were burning. Love these ropes.

I have the Crossrope system and I'm extremely happy with it... I had a very small issue with one of the handles, so I emailed customer service to ask for advice and they immediately sent me a new set of handles which arrived with DHL Express to the UK the next day. I mean...I haven't even asked for it as the old ones are totally fine. But not a single question asked, not even a proof of purchase or anything. I would highly recommend Crossrope to anyone considering it.

I'm an avid jump roper and I purchased the Crossrope system recently. Be careful when selecting the size. I'm 6'3" and the extra large rope (which was the size recommended for my height was waaaaaaaay too long, by at least two inches. Honestly I can't say that I was blown away by the Crossrope... It didn't make me more efficient or faster. It didn't make jumping easier or more enjoyable...at the end of the day it's just a jump rope... Would I recommend it??? Probably not for the average person, it's more of a novelty piece in my opinion... it's just not nearly $90 better.

This is also for folks like me and the other gentleman that lost 50 pounds using cheap ropeless sets from Amazon. I’m not looking to do tricks or an authentic jump rope experience. I just want results. The young man demonstrating these doesn’t have my specific goal in mind and he is in much better shape than I. I love that Crossrope is offering something for everyone and for every fitness level if you want to jump.

I've had the ropeless pack for a week. And these are a godsend. I don't have much space in my apartment, no high ceiling and I have neighbours below me and the climate is less than ideal. I did some of the crossrope workouts with them and intensity of the workouts were no different from using the ropes. The only con with these is if I loose my rhythm the balls at the ends would hit my arms.

During lockdown I didn't have the opportunity to go to the gym or even outside to jump rope, and I couldn't do it at home either because I have a low hanging chandelier, so i bought the cheepest cordless jump rope on amazon. In 4 months I lost 11.7 kg, so if your goal is only weight loss, then it's a good alternative. Obviously if you want the benefits of a regular jump rope (coordination, cool tricks etc.) then it's not for you.

Dan totally missed the point of the cordless rope... You can get a good workout by doing the usual (but not trick) jump rope moves, without tripping or having to continually start over. Basic step, boxer's step, one legged jumps, running in place, high knees, etc are very effective with the handles.

So when I was learning I used a heavier rope. I got it from crossrope and it had a heavier cable and a lighter cable. It was like $75 it was a great tool to help with learning.

Wow! I had no idea the price increased. 88 dollars for a rope is too much! I'm glad i got mine when it was around 60.

As far as it goes for crossrope, I think it's worth it because it's a heavy duty product, but also once you get a weighted rope it's not just a straight cardio device. It's perfect for getting toned. It will allow you to activate other muscles in your upper body for instance, therefore burning more calories and becoming more toned, since your swinging a weighted rope around.
